Ready to Lead Marion County’s District Attorney’s Office

Protecting Safety and Livability in Marion County

Marion County is a beautiful place where people choose to live, raise families, and build businesses. But that only works when communities and families feel safe. Unlike other places in Oregon that have turned a blind eye to crime, Marion County expects public safety through accountability. I will continue that tradition by prosecuting crimes, supporting law enforcement, and fighting for victims, all focused on protecting the quality of life that makes this county livable.

Protecting Victim’s Rights

Every victim has a right to be heard and respected. Therefore, I’ll protect victim services, increase and improve communication, and continue fighting to ensure that the court system responds with compassion, urgency, and fairness to those who have been harmed.

Experienced Leadership, Built From the Ground Up

I’ve spent 18 years working inside the Marion County District Attorney’s Office, from the front lines to leadership. I know how the office works, what it takes to effectively serve this community, and what needs to improve. I’ll use that experience to lead with stability, common sense, fiscal responsibility, and a deep respect for the responsibility this role carries.

Accountability First. Second Chances, if Appropriate

In my 18 years as a parent and a prosecutor, I have learned that accountability matters.  Like great parents, great prosecutors demand accountability balanced with a smart approach. That’s why I will continue to seek jail and prison sentences when dangerous criminals victimize this community. However, for low level offenses, I also believe in opportunities for change. That’s why I’ll continue to support Marion County’s amazing treatment courts and diversion programs. Effective, firm accountability is the key to public safety.

Justice Demands Equality

The law applies equally to all of us, regardless of who you are. As District Attorney, I will continue to follow the law without bias or political influence, and ensure that every person is treated with fairness, consistency, and integrity. Public trust demands it.
